Global Health Finland (Globaali terveys ry) is a Finnish association which aim is to increase awareness of global health issues in Finland and to promote collaboration among those working in the field. The association’s activities focus particularly on global health issues, development cooperation, questions related to research and treatment of tropical diseases, and travel medicine. To achieve its goals, the association organizes training and lecture events, and participates in expert collaboration relevant to its field.

The association organizes lecture and discussion events approximately three times a year. The meetings are open for all interested and are held either in English or Finnish. Online participation is also possible in most of the meetings. The themes of these meetings relate to global health, such as travel medicine, presentations by organizations, healthcare for undocumented individuals, topics related to the One Health concept, and global food security. The association is also involved in organizing training in the field in Finland. The association’s travel medicine section provides training and maintains treatment guidelines. The association represents Finland in the Federation of European Societies for Tropical Medicine and International Health (FESTMIH) network.
